Hello, It's Me

Hey y'all! I just wanted to take minute to introduce myself because it's clear I haven't really done that yet!

My name is Madison Cook, and I am a small town girl with BIG TIME dreams! Truly, I'm a dreamer at heart, and what makes me so different is I know I can make my dreams a reality if I want.

The dance studio is a prime example. I have always loved dancing and the joy it brings me I forever want to pass that gift on to others. Growing up teaching as a teen to babies and then a young adult to older students I knew that running and managing my own studio had to be a part of my future.

When the current owner's daughter graduated she ever so graciously passed it down to me. BUT lets not leave out that the owner BEFORE HER was my dance teacher. So when re branding this dance studio and deciding on a name, "Legacy" seemed to be just it.

This studio is a Legacy, and whether I'm able to pass this on to my daughter or someone else, I hope it brings joy and freedom of expression to anyone that comes!

Aside from a studio owner, I am a wife to my handsome angel on earth husband, a fur mama to my 10 year old 5 lb pomeranian, and a MOM to 2 of the cutest kids i've ever laid eyes on.

My husband also owns his own business, so between our businesses, our kids, our adventures we try to often take we are constantly busy, but we truly wouldn't have it any other way!

With this blog, I hope to bring you along on the adventure, help you stay up to date in the dance/tumbling world, and maybe even give you some insight on what goes on inside the Cook House!

Dear Santa

With Christmas time around the corner, now is the perfect time to start stacking back items so you aren't last minute shopping, and i'm so happy to help take some of the thinking and looking off your hands!

I'm going to be linking some essentials, some popular items, and some sweet smaller items to add to your list that the kids will love! Maybe some of the items will spark some ideas of your own!

I'll link the big item first, every year I get asked about tumbling mats and this folding mat is perfect for the home! And nothing makes a good gymnast without an incredible new leo! I love these biketard prints + embellishments!

I can't leave out my baby ballerinas! Let me save you some headache when its cold and you realize you don't have a single long sleeve leo for your chid! These are so classic, and as a dance teacher i'm forever loving the ATTACHED skirts! The floral print leo in there is probably my favorite! Here are some sweet short sleeve as well!

Has that dance bag your sweet girl been using just about had it? Or have you invested in a bag at all? Here is a great bag with lots of pockets that you can get customized! Having a name on a bag is a huge help when its time to change shoes during class time! I also LOVE the cute TuTu detail on it! My little girl LOOOOVES a backpack so hopefully your little dancer will love wearing this one as well!

It's the little things that mean the most...

Having the correct accessories can make a hug difference when preparing for a performance. In the dance world its only appropriate that you have 'THE" competition stud earring. I truly feel like this is a staple in the dance world. I will have all of the things linked for you thanks for amazon! Here is also a link for clip ons for my girlies that don't have pierced ears!

Have you ever thought about what you're going to carry all of those small accessories and make up around in?? You definitely want to have something to keep all of those things safe! I just found the PERFECT bag for you, I PROMISE you will want to add this to your cart asap!

I'm also going to link some clear elastic hair ties you will want for hair that I left out of my previous blog!

Back to accessories, if you're looking for something that will hold that cute little mirrored cosmetic bag, plus maybe a hair straightener, hot glue gun, extra stones, hair brush, or whatever else you may feel like you need to bring then I definitely suggest this bad boy! I love this rolling case so much because it break down and you don't have to use the entire set up. This truly is another staple I feel you will see at dance competitions.

There are so many options when it comes to what your put your costumes in for competition, and I know i've used the word staple 2 different times in this blog, BUT THIS is it. The GodMother of all things staple. I definitely recommend this if you have siblings, and or multiple costumes. This is actually a cheaper one, because lets be honest they can get up to $500 if you get a name brand Dream Duffle. This one had really great reviews so even if this doesn't last but 2 years, you didn't invest a lot of money for it.
